
Los Angeles-based composer Chris DuBrock has scored three documentaries that run on PBS, including the award-winning maritime doc First Light. He has composed and/or orchestrated music for a broad range of media projects including animated TV shows, feature and short films, musicals, games and a live-action graphic novel. His concert music has been performed by Paul Rosenthal (Sitka Chamber Music Festival), Thomas Tirino, Marie Herseth Kenote and others.
As a trumpeter DuBrock has performed and/or recorded with the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, The Illinois Jacquet Big Band, The Max Graham Band, The Infernos and bluesman Pinetop Perkins.
DuBrock studied trumpet, arranging and composition at the Eastman School and
Rutgers University.
When not composing he enjoys reading, hiking, acting, collecting fine art (mostly digital) and serving as a volunteer at the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.
